Jordan Carls
Jordan Carls, a native of the western slope, embarked on his musical journey at the age of 13, evolving into a seasoned professional musician. Over the years, he shared stages, embarked on tours, and contributed to recordings alongside industry giants. However, his true passion emerged as an educator. Over the last decade, he has proudly owned and managed the Precedence Music Academy while continuing to perform whenever the opportunity arises.
Laura Payne
Laura Payne, a dedicated music educator for 36 years, directs the Valley Youth Orchestra and teaches at Precedence Music Academy. With degrees from Butler University, she played string bass for 33 years with the Carmel Symphony Orchestra. Laura's impact includes teaching AP Music Theory and inspiring students to pursue music at renowned institutions like Juilliard and Butler University.
Julie Appelhanz
Julie (Barton) Appelhanz, a skilled musician with degrees from Concordia College and the University of Denver, emphasizes education. For over 20 years, she's nurtured students in violin and viola, fostering joy and expression. Passionate about building solid technique, she guides each student in their unique musical journey, meeting them where they are.
